I'm Alive

I know, it's been far too long since my last post. Like rabid Harry Potter fans waiting for the next book, or Star Wars fans waiting for the next movie, I know my adoring fans have been waiting for my next post. Both of them. Fans, not post that is. I never said it was a huge following, but hey, at least it's a loyal following.

Why the large gap since my last wasting of time? I've been in Cleveland, no, not that Cleveland, the one on Mississippi. Didn't even know they had one did you? They do, it's their, and so is a large factory, with dust, and very loud noises, and hard concrete floors. It's been a long week. My lack of sleep has caused such odd behavior. It's not like everyone just bust out with Willie Nelson songs for no reason. That's normal right? Probably not. "You are always on my mind..."

Where was I? Oh yes, other than the fact I'm home prompting me to post, I was checking out my blog, just to monitor the number of hits I've received, and I had to laugh at the Martha adds on my page. I mean wow, who knew. I think it's so funny. Any way, as I started this, I'm alive, and on my to bed.

A Very Judicial Week

I'm taking a break from work. My hands hurt. I'm an engineer, I'm supposed to write software most of my time, but my hands hurt from wiring a test station. Enough of my griping. My week could be worse. I could be Martha Stewart. She's going to jail on Friday. All in all, my fingers being a bit sore is not so bad. I think it's kind of interesting that in the same week in October, many years apart, that OJ was found innocent, that Martha Stewart is going to jail.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no Martha Stewart fan. Very rarely do I need someone to show me how to decorate a pine cone with glitter and a hot glue gun, but if I did, I suppose she's the one to turn to. I also very rarely throw a dinner party for 72 of closest friends and if I did, there would be a BBQ involved.

Kind of strange when Martha is in jail for insider trading, and OJ is free with 2 dead people. Just my social commentary for the week.

On a better note visit this site. Sign up, and let GM know that more than just me wants the Camaro brought back. I will say that if they bring it back as a front wheel drive, under powered, ghost of itself as they did the Nova, they can leave it dead. I'm hoping the SS concept they've shown a few times turns into the Camaro.

A Real Post

I thought I should take the time to make a real post. Not just a quiz result or a brief comment to make Matt laugh. It's been a busy weekend. I spent most of either working on code for work or watching football. I know, I know. Those of you who have actually read any of my blog before know that I swore off football after the Florida - Tennessee game. Did I say game? I meant robbery, miscarriage of justice. Bitter? No, I'm not bitter, but I digress.

I did watch football. I enjoyed watching football. I enjoyed seeing the Tennessee - Auburn game. It was a great game. I am by no means an Auburn fan, but I could not thought of a more deserving team to lose, and lose big, at home, to a conference rival, than Tennessee. It made me smile.

I was also very happy last night watching the North Western - Ohio State game. Why you ask? Why would I care? Easy, Ohio State plays dirty. Last year, or year before, an Ohio State player was clearly seen on camera choking another player at the bottom of a pile, and there coach, and everyone acted as if it was no big deal. Cheating is bad enough, al-la Tennessee refs, but just plain playing dirty is even worse. I also think they got some very, very lucky calls to beat Miami for the National title a couple of year ago. On top of all that, they've won so many games in overtime and by such close margins, their luck just had to run out. I'm glad it did.

The only thing that could have made yesterday any better would have been for LSU to beat Georgia. I think that would have helped the Gators more, but it doesn't really matter. As always an FSU loss would be great, but lets not get greedy.

I suppose this post seals my fate of the banner adds at the bottom of my page always displaying a link to football tickets, but so be it. Eventually the season will end and I'll find some other meaningless topic to talk about. Maybe I'll get around to restoring my 57 Buick, or the stereo in my Z28. Who knows. Maybe I'll rant about monkeys until every banner add has a monkey on it. Long story. Time to eat, hopefully I'll have some time to post more later.

On a side note, I saw on TV this morning that the Captain Kangaroo show debuted 49 years ago today. It's also the anniversary of the OJ Simpson trial verdict. Something to think about.
A Kangroo and a court trial.

A Post to Keep Pace

Matt is sitting beside me on my couch posting to his blog. Since he's wrapped up in his posting, I thought I would also make a post. Can you hear the banjo music? Dueling post. Letter for letter, line for line, post for post, ehhh what ever.

You rule. in 15 years, you won't be as known as you
are now, but most of the people that will know
you then will like you (or else I'll beat them
with a stick). You're nice to listen to.
