One Week, One Update

What a pathetic pace I'm on. I've been so busy. This has been the first weekend all month that I haven't been in the office. I'm not going to say weekend off because as I type this I am sitting here writing a user's manual for the project that has kept me so busy. Still, I'd much rather be sitting in my living room typing than at my office typing. I must say that is the good and bad of a laptop. I can now have work to do anywhere, but at least I can work wherever I am, and at home is better than my desk.

In other news, I'm still enjoying the new house. This is the first weekend I've gotten to sleep in some and enjoy it. It's a beautiful day for January. It's been so warm that grass is growing in the backyard. I'm amazed by that. Hopefully it will be an early Spring. I say that, as soon as it gets warm I have to buy a lawn mower.

Back to work.

I Saw Rock City

I've seen it before, but I saw it again today. I'm just thankful I wasn't at work today. I probably needed to be at work today, but I also needed a day off. I needed a day of rest, but still, a nice little car ride was relaxing. It was a good day, even with the rain. We walked Rock City and went and say Ruby Falls. For those of you not from the Southeast, Ruby Falls is a 140 foot water fall, 1120 feet underground. You take an elevator down to a cave and walk through the cave to the waterfall. It's pretty neat. At Rock City we walked to the top of Lookout Mountain we should have been able to see 7 states, but it was so foggy we barley saw our hand in front of our face, much less 7 states.

I'm Still Here

I am still alive. I do still recall how to update this thing. Problem is, I've been working more hours than I can to count. Matter of fact I don't even want to think about it.

I'm hoping to get a day off. A day just to sleep. I like sleep. I haven't had much of it for the past few weeks. The few nights I have been home at a half way decent hour to get any sleep, I haven't slept. I think I'm coming down with something. My head has been stuffed up and my throat has been hurting. It's a sad sign when all I want is a good nights sleep and to feel better.

I'll try and update as soon as soon as I can.

3 Ducks Walk Into a Bar

3 ducks walk into a bar.

The bartender asks the first duck "What've you been up to today?" the duck replies "My name is Huey and I've been in and out of puddles all day."... The bartender asks the same question to the second duck... "What's your story?", the duck replies "My name is Duey, and I've been in and out of puddles all day."

The bartender then asks the third duck the same question. He replies "My name's Puddles, and don't ask me what kind of day I've had."

Another Puppy Picture

He loves corn. A dog who loves corn, cobs and leaves. He still does.

Oh yes, I need sleep, I've had one and half hours of sleep in the past 2 days.

He Was A Cute Puppy

He really was. I wish I had more pictures. I may have more pictures, but that was back before I had a digital camera and I know there are rolls of film in the house from years and years ago that need to be developed. It's just such a hassle. Todd's curled up in his bed beside me being cute. Maybe he's just cold, he's curled up in a tight little ball.

I've had a fun filled work day. Yes, I know it's a Saturday and I normally work Monday through Friday. As I continue to complain about on here, I really am that busy. I'm taking a break from work right now. Sara is working on a puzzle, I'm watching football and laying out an electrical panel for another project. I was expecting it to take about an hour or so to lay this panel out and I'd be done. That was over an hour ago, and I'm not done. I think it will wait until tomorrow.

XM Radio and Coffee

Those two items are making it possible for me to survive the day. I'm still very busy, and it's getting cold in here. There have been a few little snow flakes falling outside. I saw few, as in you can see one once every 5 minutes or so.

Back to work, sorry to interrupt.

Just Some Random Sillyness

Just random stuff I stumbled across, if you like please check out toothpastefordinner.

What Day Is It?

Wednesday? Thursday? I have no clue. When there is a holiday on Monday it just throws off my entire week. As always I have no time to write anything, but my coffee is still a little hot to drink and it's hard to get anything done without the morning cup of coffee.

Two days in a row I've shown my inability to work the coffee pot. The filter has folded over and I've ended up with chunky coffee. It's sort of like pulp in orange juice, I don't like that either. So, I dump the first pot and the grounds (mostly in the pot) and start over. Sad when I need a sup of coffee to be awake enough to make a cup of coffee. You see my problem here.

In other news, I'm getting a little more settled in the new house. Yesterday was my first day driving home after work straight to the new house. I found my way. Monday will be the real test, when area schools will be back in and I'll have much more traffic to deal with in the mornings.

A New Year, A New Dog Neurosis

I love my dog. He's great. As you can see by the picture stolen from Sara's web page, he's always one to mug for the camera. I think he's by far the most photogenic out of the two of us.

I was expecting him to love his new backyard. It's almost an acre of room for him to run and play. Granted it needs trees and things for him to sniff, but after being cooped up inside the apartment for 2 months, I thought we'd have to beg him to come inside.

I got the opposite. He wants to be inside. He'll go out to use the bathroom, then he begs to come back inside. I think he's gotten a little spoiled. I'm hoping in the spring with some warmer weather and more things back there for him to sniff, he'll take to it. Until then, I guess I'll just have a spoiled inside dog.
